What is the role of homotopy theory in the classical, geometric, and quantum Langlands programs? Partial solutions by Langlands, Taylor, Lafforgue, and Drinfeld have won some of the most prestigious awards in math: the Fields Medal, the Wolf Prize, and the Shaw Prize.
